Welcome to The DL@DU Project.
We are students, faculty, and friends with shared interest in applying the state-of-the-art in High Performance Computing to modern problems.
DL@DU is short for Deep Learning at Drury University. Recent advances in HPC have often arrived in the form of so-called Deep Learning systems — a prevailing trend that bridges the proliferation of mammoth datasets with the massive Linear Algebraic computational power offered by even consumer-grade GPUs. The DL@DU Project is a research group that focuses on leading-edge techiniques in Deep and, more generally, Machine Learning.
In fact, we study ML/DL via Statistical Learning — the mathematical anaylsis and statistics underlying Machine Learning. Current students are undergrads, though past participants have gone on to study these and related subjects in graduate school and/or work for companies and organizations that deploy these systems in enterprise settings.
